.net Framework 3.5 SP1 Offline Install on Windows 8/8.1/10 using your Installation Media and DISM

Windows 8 until 10 comes with .NET framework 4.5 pre-installed in the operating system, but many apps require .net framework v2.0 until 3.5 and the apps will not run unless you installed the required version. When you try to run these app, Windows 10 will prompt you to download and install .net framework 3.5 online. This will take a lot of time, especially if you have slow internet connection. To alter this, you can install .net Framework 3.5 from the installation media. This method is much faster, efficient, and can done offline.

To install .NET Framework 3.5 offline, do the following instructions:

1. Insert your Windows Instalation Media (DVD, Flash Drive, or ISO Image) to your computer.
2. Open 'This PC' in File Explorer and note the drive letter of the installation media you have inserted.

3. Open elevated-mode Command Prompt (Command Prompt in Administrator mode), then type the following command:
Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:D:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
"D:" is your instalation media drive letter.

4. Then wait until installation finished.
